The ecological transition and the resilience of territories is a long-term process. It concerns all areas and all actors. To be successful, it must be able to aligne all policies and stakeholders around a local project.

On the 21st october 2021, the first peer-to-peer learning session of the PATH2LC project occured.

This peer-to-peer session was organized by Energy Cities as part of the PATH2LC project. It aimed to discuss the elements to organize such a process, particularly with regard to local governance and the way in which all stakeholders are involved in the reflections and decisions on the territory.

To help cities develop a local climate pact, we invited municipalities involved in the PATH2LC project to join the 1st peer-to-peer session to learn from inspirational local authorities and exchange with their peers on how to facilitate a Local Pact and particularly how to bring stakeholders together fostering the transition of their cities.

This session was the occasion to present the study "Local Pacts : how municipalities create their own COP21?" by Energy Cities. We also heard the inspirational presentations from 3 speakers :

• Deputy Mayor of the city of Viladecans (ES) in charge of energy and climate topics
• Mr Laurent Riche, Mayor of the city of Kingersheim (FR)
